Our Beloved Spiritual Father
Sadhu C. Selva Raj (Appa) was born at Palliady and brought up at Kumarankudy, Kanniyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, India, in a Christian family which was Christian in name alone. He was brought up by his parents affectionately. He was living as a nominal Christian, C.S.I. Christian — a Protestant Christian.
When he was in the second year of his MSc. Degree course in 1972 at Madras (Chennai) Christian College, Thambaram, he had lost peace of mind and it was terrible and unbearable to him. Then he was touched and met by GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. GOD touched him and met him unexpectedly, to give HIS so great a salvation from sins and forgiveness of sins to him freely.
\After completing his college studies, he used to go to the LORD’s Church at Malavilai and listen to the preaching of Sadhu G. Devanesan (Aiya). He was again touched and met by the LORD. On hearing his preaching, he repented and wept for the sins he had committed, and prayed for the forgiveness of sins and salvation from sins. He confessed his sins to the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST and prayed to GOD day and night for many days, with tears and weeping and humility. The LORD delivered him from his sins with sanctification and divine experiences of holy life. He was totally freed from all sorrows, troubles, heaviness, grief and all pains, physically and mentally.
When he used to come to Malavilai, his tonsils problem was also miraculously curedby the LORD. He was filled with divine peace, happiness and consolation. He was totallyconverted and saved and redeemed by JESUS CHRIST. As he lacked eagerness andseriousness, he had not received the anointing of the HOLY SPIRIT.
Then the LORD granted him success in his MSc. (Mathematics) Degree course. Then he wished to work as a government servant. Knowing his desire, the LORD according to HIS will gave him a government job in Tamil Nadu Revenue Department through Public Service Commission, before he took baptism. He worked in Revenue Department from 01.09.1973 to 01.11.1976, with honesty and straightforwardness and truth. For this, his co-workers are witnesses. Then the he became a believer of the LORD’s Church, Adhi Penthecosthe Sathya Sabhai (Beginning Pentecostal Truth Church) at Malavilai, receiving the baptism by total immersion in water in the Paraliar River on 21.10.1973.
Sadhu G. Devanesan (Aiya) told him about GOD’s calling for him to serve GOD. Later he too understood by HIS grace that it was GOD’s eternal, immensely glorious will for him to serve GOD. With a perfect knowledge of all the things (to renounce all things and abhor them to live as a sage or hermit monk), he resigned his governm nt job on 01.11.1976, even though at that time he had passed all the seven tests required for promotion. He believed that the job of serving JESUS CHRIST was greater than all the other jobs in the world.
After resigning his job, he began to pray and wait on the LORD to receive the HOLY SPIRIT and to attain the worthiness to serve the LORD. The LORD anointed him with HIS HOLY SPIRIT with the sign of other tongues. He joined HIS Church on 01.03.1977 to do HIS ministry and began to serve GOD as GOD’s minister.
According to the will of GOD, Sadhu G. Devanesan (Aiya) ordined him on 25.03.1977, to perform the very important affairs of the Church. After Sadhu G. Devanesan (Aiya) slept in CHRIST, the LORD according to HIS merciful will has appointed him as the principal minister of the Beginning Pentecostal Truth Church. The LORD has given him glorious promises. According to HIS glorious promises, the LORD is performing glorious works in HIS glorious Church, by healing the sickness and illness of many people and casting out devils from many people.
After Sadhu G. Devanesan (Aiya) slept in CHRIST, all things which he had lastly spoken through prophecy began to fulfill be fulfilled in the LORD’s Church, Adhi Penthecosthe Sathya Sabhai (Beginning Pentecostal Truth Church) having its headquarters at Malavilai and its ministry. Many false ministers/servants and false believers were scattered and began to wander from the Church and from its ministry like the sheep without the shepherd. False Civil Suits were filed in Courts and false Civil Complaints were given in many places against him. False Civil Suits were filed by the scattered false ministers/servants to bring the Church under the full administration of the Court.
Sadhu C. Selva Raj (Appa) faced several hardships while facing the False Cases. The LORD GOD solved all the cases on 07.08.2015.
Sadhu C. Selva Raj (Appa) was the only son to his parents. In two or three occasions, when he and Thomas M. Kurian, the LORD’s minister were with their spiritual father Sadhu G. Devanesan (Aiya), Sadhu G. Devanesan (Aiya) told him that “Kurian is your younger brother.” And in another occasion when he and GOD’s minister Kurian were with their spiritual father Sadhu G. Devanesan (Aiya), he again told him that, “Kurian is your younger brother; and if he is alive, he will be very helpful to you.” This faithful saying of his spiritual father, Sadhu G. Devanesan (Aiya) was very helpful to him in all matters after their spiritual father slept in CHRIST. Also Sadhu C. Selva Raj (Appa) recorded about GOD’s minister, Thomas M. Kurian in his book “One GOD!! One People!! – The Document Revealing GOD’s Secret” that:
Sadhu C. Selva Raj (Appa) slept in CHRIST on 14th April, 2017 at the age of 70. And now Adhi Penthecosthe Sathya Sabhai (Beginning Pentecostal Truth Church) at Malavilai is led by his GOD given younger brother Sadhu Thomas M. Kurian (Appa).
