The Ministry Of Our Church
The ministers of GOD are the entourage in a triumphal procession for the celebration of CHRIST’s victory (II Corinthians 2:14). They are the incense-bearers to diffuse the fragrance of CHRIST (II Corinthians 2:14-15). They are the epistles (letters) written with CHRIST as the content (II Corinthians 3:1-3). They are the mirrors beholding and reflecting the glory of CHRIST in order to be transformed into HIS glorious image from glory to glory (II Corinthians 3:18). They are the earthen vessels containing the CHRIST of glory as the excellent treasure (II Corinthians 4:7). They are always carrying about in their body the dying of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, that the life of JESUS CHRIST also may be manifested in their mortal flesh (II Corinthians 4:10). They walk by faith, not by sight or appearance (II Corinthians 5:7).
The ministry of our church is the continuing ministry of the LORD’s church of the first century. The experiences of the ministers of GOD of our church are the same as those of the ministers of the Christian church of the first century. Like the ministers of the first century Christian church, the ministers of our church too are sages. They have given up and abhorred everything. They live as bachelors obtaining spiritual gifts and grace from GOD. They adopt a celibate lifestyle. They are the righteous people; they are the faithful people; they are the truthful people; they are the undefiled people; they are the honourable people; and they are the great people. The ministers of GOD or the servants of GOD of our church have renounced the world and its desires and lusts. They are dead to them. They are like little children. They are without wife and without marriage.
The ministers of GOD of our church follow the example of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who came to the world to set an example of the minister of GOD. As the LORD JESUS CHRIST was a sage with beard, the ministers of our church are also sages with beard (Isaiah 50:6). As the LORD JESUS CHRIST was a bachelor, they are also bachelors. As the LORD JESUS CHRIST has adopted a celibate lifestyle, they are also adopting a celibate lifestyle. Our church ministry of the LORD has been raised as the continuing ministry of the first century Christian church ministry, for these last days, for the glorious works of the LORD.
Most of those who are called to this ministry do not at the first instance know that they have been called. But by the grace of GOD, they are led by circumstances to enter this ministry. This is GOD’s divine doing. Before entering this ministry, some of them have been torn by worldly cares and worries, some others have been experiencing mental agony and still others have lost their peace of mind. They have been compelled to seek guidance from the LORD. When they turn to LORD JESUS, the LORD JESUS takes over. Finally, they will receive the glorious crown of righteousness (II Timothy 4:8) and eternal life in heaven, the kingdom of GOD (I Timothy 6:19).
